Prism Technologies Secures Second Win Against Wireless Carriers with $30M Jury Verdict
Kramer Levin client Prism Technologies obtained a verdict of infringement against Sprint Spectrum and a $30M damage award following a six-day jury trial in Omaha, Nebraska. In the second of five patent infringement trials scheduled against the major wireless carriers, the jury returned a verdict for Prism less than four hours after starting deliberations.
Previously, Prism reached a favorable settlement with AT&T Mobility in October 2014 hours before closing arguments were set to begin. The company’s next trial, against T-Mobile, is slated for the fall.
