Paris partners Gilles Saint Marc and Nicolas Capelli collaborated with the AFG on a practical guide on the European Union’s ELTIF 2.0 Regulation, providing a comprehensive overview for asset managers who want to leverage the updated regulatory framework.
Key updates in the ELTIF 2.0 Regulation include simpler rules for raising capital from retail investors, an expanded scope of eligible assets, relaxed portfolio composition and borrowing limits, and the introduction of master-feeder and fund of funds structures. Additionally, the recent redemption and liquidity rules set forth in the ELTIF 2.0 RTS have clarified how ELTIF 2.0 can be structured as open-ended funds.
