FDA, FTC Send More Warning Letters to Companies Marketing False COVID-19 Products
The FTC and FDA continue to issue warning letters to companies making deceptive claims about their products related to COVID-19.
- The FDA and the FTC sent a joint warning letter to the Center for Wellness and Interactive Medicine for its COVID Supplement Protection Pack, Thymosin-Alpha, and Methylene Blue Capsules.
- Separately, the FDA issued more warning letters to companies for making misleading claims that their products can mitigate, prevent, treat, diagnose or cure COVID-19. The companies receiving letters were Curativa Bay Corporation for its Advanced Hypochlorous Skin Spray product, and SuperHealthGuard and Loyal Great International, Ltd., for its Lianhua Qingwen Capsule.
The letters require the recipients to immediately cease making the unsupported claims and respond to the agencies with specific steps taken to address their concerns.
