Bankruptcy and Restructuring associate Rachael Ringer has been named one of the M&A Advisor’s 2019 Emerging Leaders in the Legal Advisor category. The award will be presented at the 10th Annual Emerging Leaders Awards Gala on September 17 in New York.
Rachael has represented a diverse range of clients in many of the largest and most complex bankruptcies and restructurings of recent years across numerous industries, including retail, financial services, oil and gas services, shipping, automotive, manufacturing, and health care. Her outstanding achievements include her current role in the representation of the nine-member unsecured creditors’ committee of Hexion Inc. in the implementation of a multi-billion dollar restructuring, as well as her recent representations of the official committees in the Toys “R” Us Inc., CHC Group Ltd., Arch Coal Inc., and NII Holdings Inc. cases. Rachael also recently represented Brigade Capital Management as a large holder of claims in the bankruptcy cases of retailer Nine West Holdings Inc. Rachael was also involved in the representation of the Creditors’ Committee in the bankruptcy of Residential Capital — the largest bankruptcy of 2012.
