Kramer Levin received the Turnaround of the Year award ($2.5 billion and above) for the firm’s representation of the Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors in the NII Holdings case, which was one of the largest Chapter 11 cases filed in 2014. The Kramer Levin team was led by Corporate Restructuring and Bankruptcy partner Kenneth H. Eckstein and included partners P. Bradley O'Neill and Adam C. Rogoff, associates Anu Yerramalli, Rachael Ringer, Andrew M. Dove and Andrew Wyatt Pollack and Litigation special counsel Natan Hamerman.
Kramer Levin also received the Special Situation M&A Deal of the Year for the firm’s representation in the Patriot Coal reorganization and sale of assets to Blackhawk Mining and Virginia Conservation Legacy Fund (VCLF). The Kramer Levin team was led by Corporate Restructuring and Bankruptcy partner Thomas Moers Mayer and special counsel Gregory G. The awards was presented at the Global M&A Network’s annual Turnaround Atlas Awards gala on May 17, 2016, in New York.
