Kramer Levin is pleased to announce that Abraham (Avi) Reshtick has joined the firm as a partner in the Tax department and a co-chair of the firm’s Israel practice. Avi advises strategic businesses, private equity and venture capital funds, and their portfolio companies in strategizing, structuring and negotiating domestic and cross-border transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, tax-free spin-offs, leveraged buyouts, joint ventures and other strategic combinations, as well as debt financing, capital markets transactions and financial restructurings.
Avi also advises financial sponsors on fund formation and structuring their holdings in special-purpose acquisition companies (SPACs) and related capital raisings, and guides U.S. and offshore companies in their business combinations with SPACs.
Avi earned his LL.B. (J.D. equivalent) and an LL.M. in commercial law from Tel Aviv University School of Law. He also holds an LL.M. in international taxation from New York University School of Law. He joins us from Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo P.C., where he was a member and co-chair of the firm’s Israel practice.
