Kramer Levin has collaborated with the NYC Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD) to obtain approvals from the City Council for the development of a new building with 81 units of supportive and affordable housing on property located at 107-111 East 123rd Street in Manhattan. The property will be developed by the Fortune Society, a New York City based nonprofit organization that is nationally renowned for providing services and housing for the formerly incarcerated. The land use approvals are a special permit to maximize the available square footage, designation of the property as an Urban Development Action Area and Project, and disposition of city owned property.
