Kramer Levin Represents Owners of Spraylat Corporation in Sale to PPG Corporation
On October 16, 2012, the owners of Spraylat Corporation, a family owned paint and coatings business, agreed to sell the Company, through a combination of stock and asset sales, to PPG Corporation. Kramer Levin represents the Sellers. The Kramer Levin team is being led by partners Steve M. Goldman and James A. Grayer, and associate Jodi Rosensaft who were assisted by associates Sarah E. Kaehler and Amanda Webber on the corporate side. Partner Howard J. Rothman and special counsel Helayne Oberman Stoopack provided structuring and tax advice, while partners Erica D. Klein and Chuck S. Warren, associate Soyoung Lee and special counsel Avram Cahn assisted in Intellectual Property , Environmental, Real Estate and Employee Benefits. Partners Reid Feldman and Marco Plankensteiner, from the firm’s Paris office, provided support regarding the non-US aspects of the transaction. The transaction is anticipated to close in late 2012 and is subject to customary closing conditions, including certain regulatory approvals.
