Kramer Levin is a finalist for Real Estate Finance & Investment’s Law Firm of the Year. The award honors the law firm that has helped to structure a transaction that is significant due to innovation or a broader impact on the market. Kramer Levin’s selection as a finalist recognizes the firm’s representation of Related Companies and Oxford Properties in the development of Hudson Yards, the 28-acre, $20 billion mixed-use development being built largely on a platform above the Long Island Railroad train yard on Manhattan’s west side. The Kramer Levin team is led by Real Estate partner Jonathan H. Canter and includes counsel Stephen R. Senie and associates Pamela Swidler, Inge Hindriks and Meigan P. Serle. Upon completion, the development will feature 17 million square feet of commercial, residential and parkland space, more than 100 shops and restaurants, a hotel, 5,000 residences and a new public school. Kramer Levin’s Hudson Yards work, which is ongoing, has included structuring and implementing a project-wide ownership association and management regime governing operation of the entire site as well as crafting state-of-the-art mixed-use condominium structures for each of the project’s distinct development parcels.
