The Collegiate Churches of New York filed plans on August 25 to restore and convert to residential use an historic 12-story building AT 378 West End Avenue and to integrate with a new, 18-story building to be constructed on an adjacent site now occupied by the Collegiate School. The 198,000,00-square-foot redevelopment will contain 66 residential units, resident amenity spaces, and an 18 car garage. The Collegiate Churches had acquired the Collegiate School property for $125 million only four days earlier.
The Collegiate Churches will use proceeds from the redevelopment to support its charitable programs and preserve its nearby West End Church building. The Kramer Levin team advising The Collegiate Churches on the redevelopment included Land Use Department Co-chair Paul D. Selver, Special Counsel Valerie G. Campbell and Associate Adam B. Taubman.
