Kramer Levin Naftalis & Frankel LLP announced today that Natan Hamerman and Randal Murdock have been promoted to Counsel in the firm’s New York office.
Mr. Hamerman, previously a special counsel, is an accomplished trial lawyer who litigates a diverse range of civil and complex commercial cases, with particular focus on bankruptcy and real estate-related litigation. He represents both debtors and creditors— including publicly traded companies, major financial institutions and private equity funds—in complex Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases. His real estate clients include developers, lenders, landlords and tenants involved in matters such as down payment and liquidated damages litigations, foreclosure, and lender liability claims.
Mr. Murdock, also previously a special counsel, advises clients on securities law, mergers and acquisitions, software and technology transactions, and general business matters. He provides counsel to public and private companies in mergers and acquisitions and in stock and asset dispositions. He also represents issuers and purchasers of securities in registered offerings and private placements. In addition, Mr. Murdock has significant experience in the areas of corporate governance, reporting and disclosure requirements, and financing. His technology transactions experience includes software licensing, implementation and support agreements, and research and development agreements.

Mr. Hamerman received his J.D. from New York University School of Law and his B.S. from Cornell University’s School of Industrial and Labor Relations. Mr. Murdock received an LL.M. in International Economic and Business Law from Kyushu University, a J.D. from Harvard Law School and a B.A. from Yale University.
