Kramer Levin is pleased to announce that Marissa Holob, a highly-regarded executive compensation and employee benefits lawyer, is joining the firm as Partner and Co-Chair of the firm’s Employee Benefits Department.
Marissa brings a depth of experience in the area of compensation and benefits. Her practice ranges from advising on compensation and benefits-related issues in mergers and acquisitions and financial restructurings to advising on the design, administration and compliance of qualified retirement plans, incentive plans and other employee compensation arrangements to counseling on the application of ERISA's "plan asset" rules.
“I am very pleased to welcome Marissa to the firm,” said Kramer Levin Managing Partner Paul S. Pearlman. “With our high-volume M&A and private equity practice and regular involvement in many of the largest U.S. bankruptcies, we experience a steady demand for compensation and benefits advice. The addition of Marissa to the Employee Benefits team will provide our clients with added depth in this area.”
Marissa joins Kramer Levin from Stroock & Stroock & Lavan LLP, where she was a partner in the Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation practice. Prior to joining Stroock, she was an associate at Sullivan & Cromwell LLP.
“Kramer Levin provides a wide and deep platform for my practice,” said Marissa. “I am excited to help the firm continue to build and expand its compensation and benefits practice.”
Marissa received her J.D., cum laude, from Cornell Law School and her B.A. from Brown University.
