On February 16, 2000, Kramer Levin successfully obtained a preliminary injunction on behalf of firm client ITT Industries, Inc. in a trademark infringement action in the Central District of California (Case No. CV 9913464). The order, entered by Chief Judge Terry J. Hatter Jr., enjoined defendants from infringing the "ITT" mark and ordered the defendants to deliver all infringing articles to the Court for destruction. Kramer Levin had already obtained a temporary restraining order on February 7, 2000.
The Kramer Levin team consisted of Peter Abruzzese, brief writer Paul Fakler, and Louis Weinstein, who represented ITT Industries at the hearing in Los Angeles.
