C.D. Cal. Dismisses Patent Infringement Suit Against Kramer Levin Client xTV
On July 25, 2016, Judge S. James Otero of the Central District of California dismissed a patent infringement suit by Activision Blizzard Inc. against Kramer Levin client xTV Networks Ltd. In a suit filed earlier this year, Activision had alleged that xTV’s Digital Signage and Compute Stick products and related software and services infringed on its data retrieval patent. Judge Otero ruled that the patent is invalid under the U.S. Supreme Court’s Alice ruling.
The Kramer Levin team was led by Intellectual Property partners Paul J. Andre, Lisa Kobialka and James Hannah.
