Technology and IP Transactions chair Harry Rubin and associate Michelle Park co-authored a Bloomberg Law article titled “Artificial Intelligence: A Transactional Guide to the Perplexed.” The article discusses the need for a legal approach to AI in technology transactions and acquisitions; highlights the increasing presence and impact of AI in various fields; addresses legal issues related to copyrights, patents, liability and privacy in AI; and mentions ongoing debates regarding AI regulations and controls in the United States, the European Union and other countries. The article proffers concrete AI diligence approaches and queries and AI-related representations and warranties for transactions.
