Ruth Silimon works on intellectual property matters, particularly those involving biomedical inventions.
While at Weill Cornell Medicine pursuing her doctorate in cell and developmental biology, Ruth conducted research focused on muscle atrophy and its effects on the neuromuscular junction. Ruth’s work included initiating and managing a formal inter-lab collaboration to analyze muscle transcriptional responses during disease, which resulted in the discovery of several novel findings within the field of muscle biology and inter-tissue communication. Ruth also served as a research scholar at Case Western University, assessing drug treatments on the progression of breast cancer.
