Roxanne Evande works on Intellectual Property matters, in particular those involving pharmaceutical and biomedical inventions.
While pursuing her doctorate in medical and molecular sciences, Roxanne conducted research on the human papillomavirus (HPV), focusing on the biophysical characterization of a potential drug target which could prevent the development of cancer. She also interned for a major international pharmaceutical company, where she aided in the optimization of the CYP induction assays, monitored hepatocyte uptake and performed metabolism assays on various drug candidates. Roxanne founded The Network of Excellence Minority Mentoring Program at the University of Delaware. She also served as a teaching assistant for a number of microbiology-related courses.
