• Jacqueline Ryu assists purchasers, sellers, developers, investors, operators, borrowers and lenders in real estate acquisitions and dispositions, leasing, development, management, and debt and equity financing for commercial, residential and mixed-use properties. Jacqueline also works with both landlords and tenants to negotiate, draft and amend commercial, retail and industrial leases.

    Jacqueline’s recent work includes the financing and development of Hudson Yards on behalf of the joint venture of Mitsui Fudosan America Inc., Related Cos. and Oxford Properties; the $1.6 billion redevelopment of the James A. Farley Post Office Building into the new Moynihan Station at New York’s Penn Station on behalf of the joint venture of Related Cos., Vornado and Skanska; the negotiating of an office lease of more than 380,000 square feet for a major insurance company; the securing of a hotel ground lease for a landlord in Tribeca; and the negotiation of a casino triple-net lease on behalf of VICI.

    In 2021, Jacqueline was named to Commercial Observer’s list of Top Young Professionals in the category Top 25 Debt and Equity Professionals Under 35.

    Jacqueline is a member of the firm’s Pro Bono Committee, the Racial Justice Initiative Planning Group and the Attorneys of Color Affinity Group.

    • Advised Atlantic Street Capital Partners in its sale of All Star Auto Parts, a specialty distributor of alternative automotive parts, to BBB Industries LLC, a supplier of replacement parts backed by Clearlake Capital Group LP. 

    • Represented a film company in its acquisition, joint venture and affiliated lease of a value-added performance space in downtown Manhattan.

    • Represented a fund in its acquisition and joint venture relating to a commercial property in Vermont.

    • Represented an alternative asset manager in the acquisition of an industrial property in South Carolina.

    • Represented VICI Properties Inc., an NYSE-listed REIT, in a definitive agreement with Hard Rock International to lease the real estate assets associated with The Mirage Hotel & Casino, located in Las Vegas, NV.

    • Represented VICI Properties Inc. (VICI), a NYSE-listed REIT, in its $17.2 billion strategic acquisition of MGM Growth Properties LLC.

    • Represented VICI Properties Inc. in connection with its agreement to triple-net lease real estate assets and casino operations in downtown Detroit to Penn National.

    • Represented VICI Properties Inc. in connection with its agreement to triple-net lease real estate assets and casino operations in Cincinnati to Hard Rock.

    • Represented an institutional lender in connection with the origination of an approximately $20 million mortgage loan secured by 13 properties nationwide.

    • Represented The Walt Disney Company in connection with its 99-year ground lease from Trinity Church.

    • Represented Mitsui Fudosan America Inc. in connection with a joint venture with The Related Companies and Oxford Properties Group for the acquisition and development of 50 Hudson Yards.

    • Represented Mitsui Fudosan America Inc. in connection with the refinancing of an office building in Hoboken, NJ.

    • Represented Mount Sinai Hospital System in the conversion of a New York City office building to condominium ownership.
