• Celeste B. Williams works on Real Estate and Environmental matters.

    Celeste assists in the representation of clients in purchases and sales, joint ventures, construction financing and commercial leases. Her real estate work involves drafting and reviewing transactional documents and coordinating closing and post-closing activities. Celeste also advises clients on environmental issues across a range of industries, primarily environmental liabilities and the treatment of environmental risks in the context of corporate mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures, real estate transactions and financing transactions. She conducts environmental due diligence and assists in the review and negotiation of  transactional documents. She also assists in guiding clients in navigating environmental, social and governance (ESG) policy development and reporting under evolving ESG disclosure standards. 

    Celeste also maintains an active pro bono practice, working on diverse matters involving real estate, asylum and family law issues. Most recently, she assisted in a successful asylum claim, interviewing clients and witnesses and drafting court filings and other key documents. She has also assisted nonprofits in the preparation of AIA contract forms for construction transactions.

    Celeste returns to Kramer Levin after participating in the firm’s summer associate program, where she worked across the Real Estate, Tax and Corporate practices. While in law school, Celeste interned at the Federal Tax Clinic at Lincoln Square Legal Services Inc. and served as a research assistant, focusing on administrative and education law matters.
