The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit affirmed a verdict of infringement and a $30 million damages award against Sprint Spectrum, upholding a June 2015 jury decision in favor of Kramer Levin client Prism Technologies in federal district court in Omaha, NE. The Sprint case was one of five patent infringement suits Prism filed against major wireless carriers. In the first of the cases that went to trial in October 2014, Prism reached a favorable settlement with AT&T Mobility hours before closing arguments were set to begin. The Kramer Levin team in the Sprint case consisted of Intellectual Property partners Paul J. Andre, Jonathan S. Caplan, Lisa Kobialka and Mark A. Baghdassarian, special counsel Aaron Frankel and associates Marcus A. Colucci, Cristina Martinez, Matthew W. Olinzock and Jane Gross.
