• Christina M. Finn litigates complex intellectual property matters, including patent, trademark and trade secret cases; technology-related contract disputes; and copyright claims. A skilled advocate with experience in all phases of litigation, from prefiling investigation through trial, Christina’s keen ability to identify critical issues, formulate and carry-out effective case strategies, and leverage those strategies to exert pressure when it matters most, contribute to her successes on behalf of clients in courts across the country.

    Christina dedicates significant time to pro bono work, representing low-income clients in immigration and other matters.

    Experience

    • Represented a patent holder in litigation involving hard drive storage technology against a major manufacturer, from expert reports through pretrial proceedings, securing a favorable settlement prior to trial.

    • Represented a global telecommunications company in two patent lawsuits alleging that a competitor’s line of products infringed the client’s security, user interface and platform architecture patents, securing a global patent license agreement and settlement on highly favorable terms.

    • Secured a favorable settlement on behalf of a patent holder in litigation involving secure storage technology.

    • Represented the owners of a telecommunications patent portfolio, successfully lifting an eight-year stay to assert seven patents against several defendants in the District of Delaware, and ultimately settling the case with a comprehensive patent licensing agreement for the client’s portfolio of patents that enhance media delivery and content.

    • Represented an information technology company in a patent infringement case involving wireless router technology, settling the case on terms favorable for the client.

    • Represented an information technology company in a patent infringement action relating to beam forming and wireless router technology, successfully excluding the testimony of the defendant’s experts shortly before trial and settling the case on terms favorable to the client.

    • Represented an information technology company in a patent infringement action relating to the collection, storage and wireless transmission of aircraft flight performance, settling the case favorably at the pretrial stage.

    • Represented a manufacturer of semiconductors and related solid-state devices in trade secret misappropriation and copyright infringement cases, settling both matters favorably for the client as the trade secret case was being prepped for trial.

    • Represented multiple defendants in a patent infringement suit concerning motion control software and associated controllers and robotics brought in the Federal District Court for the Eastern District of Texas.

    • Defended the manufacturer of hard disk drives, solid-state drives, and external storage products and services in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas in a patent infringement suit concerning hard drive manufacturing technology.
